The Novice rowing program is open to 9th-12th graders who are new to rowing. Our program offers a supportive environment led by experienced coaches that will take novice rowers from their first strokes to their first races. With practices six days a week, novice rowers develop technical skills, learn water safety, and enhance teamwork while building a strong foundation of fitness. No experience is necessary to join.
The Varsity High School program is open to 9th-12th graders with at least one season of on-water rowing experience. Our program provides a competitive and supportive environment that practices six days a week. Year after year, our athletes earn opportunities to continue their rowing careers at some of the top academic and athletic universities in the country. Join DC National and see how fast you can go.
Our winter training for high school rowers lays the foundation for competitive success in the spring. Focused on improving conditioning, mobility, core stability, strength, and rowing technique, the program is primarily conducted indoors, using rowing machines and bodyweight exercises. We also row on the water on Saturday mornings, weather permitting.
DC National Rowing Club is a co-ed, competitive rowing club in Montgomery County, Maryland, open to grades 6-12 in the Washington DC area.
