Result: The handbook (below) and calendar lay out important information about our upcoming season, including our practice and racing schedules and our expectations of the rowers. By reviewing them you will get a good sense of how our team will function in the upcoming season.
Confirm your rower knows how to swim. Email Julian your completed swim proficiency form. The swim test proficiency form is linked below.
Result: Rowing is a water sport and so being a proficient swimmer is a requirement to row.
Register.
Result: By registering for a whole season or a two week trial you will begin receiving relevant emails regarding upcoming events, races and practices.
Complete incoming rower questionnaire.
Result: This short questionnaire is designed to help our coaches get to know incoming rowers.
Reach out to our uniforms and hotel coordinator.
Result: You will know what you need to obtain lodging for our away races and a uniform for your rower.
Review safety video.
Result: Your rower will learn about safety issues related to the sport of rowing and how to keep themselves and the equipment safe.
Review drop off and pick up information.

Get involved!
Result: We have many ways that you can help! We depend on parent volunteers to make the best experience we can for our athletes and families.
Sign up for a USRowing membership.
Follow these steps:
Result: Rowers need USRowing memberships to compete at USRowing races including Mid-Atlantics, Youth Nationals and Summer Nationals.
Rowers 18+ complete SafeSport training.
Follow these steps:
* Although not required, minor athletes should highly consider completing the SafeSport for High School Athletes course.
* Parents of minor athletes are encouraged to take the Parents Guide to Misconduct Course to learn about the types of misconduct and how to support a positive sport experience for their child.
Result: Rowers will learn how to identify and respond to misconduct.
